What is the Open Forum?
The Open Forum is a public event that brings together thought leaders from government, business, civil society and academia to discuss pressing global challenges. For further information on the Open Forum and the Program of the event, feel free to click on the tabs About Us and Events.

Where does the Open Forum take place?
Every year, the Open Forum is hosted at the auditorium of the Swiss Alpine School (Guggerbachstrasse 3, 7270 Davos Platz). The exact address as well as directions to the location can be found in the contact tab.

In addition, it takes place at selected meetings globally. Past editions have been held in Cambodia, India, Jordan, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia.

How can I participate in the Open Forum?
The Open Forum is accessible to everybody and free of charge. If you are interested in any of the sessions in the program, you should register.

The capacity of the auditorium is limited, admission is granted after the “first come first served” principle. We recommend to arrive on time, approx. one hour before the start of the event. Find more information about registration here.

Is the Open Forum open to media?
Yes, the Open Forum is delighted to welcome journalists to the event. When registering for the Open Forum, please indicate that you are a media representative.

If I register for the Open Forum Davos, will I receive a visa letter or accommodation?
No, this is not possible. The Open Forum is a public event (after registration).

If I want to watch the Open Forum livestreams, do I have to register?
No, this is not necessary. The livestreams are broadcast on the Open Forum website and are also freely accessible afterwards.

What is the World Economic Forum?
The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation.

The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

How do I get to the Open Forum?
You can reach Davos by train, bus or car. Depending on which mode of transportation you are planning to use, we have included the relevant information below:

If you are travelling by train, use the SBB/CFF website to find your way to Davos Platz, Schatzalpbahn.

If you are travelling by car use Google Maps which will give you directions from your point of departure.

Finally, if you are travelling by bus, take a look at the PostAuto website. Buses from Chur to Davos run daily. Travel time is approximately 2 hours.
