Wang Lifen, the famous hostess of CCTV program “US”, once said about our era:

Because the tempo of our life quickened
Because the change of our life picked up
Because the world is fraught with uncertainty
We want to hold fast to our faith but could not find solid ground
We want to give up but find it hard to chart a new path
We want to begin anew, while we live in the shadows of others
We hang on to our drifting boat, while find it hard to drop anchor
We wander around, and therefore lost opportunities that we could embrace
We fought hard for our future but couldn’t identify the rapids ahead
We live with anxieties but don’t know what we anguish about
We pretend to be apathetic but could not resist the call of our heart

This is a true picture of the mind of many young people born in the 1980’s. With the rapid development of society, our career and dream make us feel lost and frustrated, let alone to care about the macro economy and future. What we are concerned about is our daily income instead of the economic condition of the country. We keep our regular working hours, but don’t make a clear plan for the future.

If the prosperity of a country can’t be realized, no individual can live in happiness and peace. Since we are members of the society, our dreams and future, as well as our income, are closely linked to the economic situation of our country. So we need to have dreams in line with the social development of country. We need to work hard together to build the future for our country and ourselves, creating wealth and boosting the economic development of the country.

The interviewee in my video is singer born in the 1980s who moved to Beijing to pursue his dream. He is passionate about music and creativity, desiring to inspire more of his peers with his upbeat music to chase their dream and future. Being touched by his music and spirit, I shot this video to share with everyone.
