The World Economic Forum and the Government of Argentina will welcome business leaders to participate in the Country Strategy Meeting - Argentina, in Buenos Aires on 22-23 October, 2024.

The meeting explores current challenges and opportunities for the country, seeds new partnerships and facilitates dialogue around advancing the dynamism and resilience of the Argentinian economy. The event also provides a unique space for private-sector leaders to engage with the administration of President Javier Milei in understanding the set of reforms and policies to achieve fiscal balance and stabilize the economy, modernize the state and improve the business environment.

In co-hosting the Country Strategy Meeting, the Forum is continuing its long-standing mission of fostering constructive dialogue between the public and private sectors. The Forum remains a neutral platform and seeks to assist in quality job creation and achieving sustainable inclusive growth. The Country Strategy Meeting aims to advance future avenues for growth for the benefit of the Argentinian people.

As one of the largest economies in Latin America, Argentina is a global leader in goods exports and is leveraging its vast potential in energy and mineral production, together with a skilled human capital. Moreover, with abundant natural resources, a diversified economy and an established role in the global market, the country has multiple avenues for further growth.

The gathering follows President Milei’s attendance at the Forum’s 2024 Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland and prepares the road leading to Argentina’s participation in the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting 2025, providing the opportunity to assess achievements and persisting challenges after President Milei’s first year in office.

The gathering this month serves as a major milestone in the relationship between Argentina and the Forum, and demonstrates the ongoing impact of the Annual Meeting in Davos.
