Ahmed Slim Bouakez is an engineer and entrepreneurial advocate dedicated to sustainability and technological innovation in water conservation. Co-Founder and CEO of WaterSec, Slim leverages his engineering background to utilize IoT (Internet of Things) and artificial intelligence in promoting sustainable water consumption behaviors across the MENA region. He possesses a wealth of technical knowledge and is passionate about using technology to develop impactful solutions for conserving water resources. His areas of expertise and interest encompass sustainable development, technological innovation in water conservation, integration of IoT, application of artificial intelligence for environmental solutions, promotion of sustainable water consumption practices, environmental impact assessment, and cross-regional collaboration, particularly in the MENA region.

In addition to his work at WaterSec, Slim co-founded the Young Tunisian Coders Academy, an NGO committed to empowering young minds in robotics and coding, showcasing his dedication to education and technological advancement. As the Global Shapers Community Champion in North Africa, he actively drives initiatives that promote positive change in the region.
