Aleksander (Aleks) Dardeli (he/him/his) joined Save the Children US as chief operating officer (COO) in September 2023. In this role, he is responsible for developing and executing organizational strategy, driving transformation programs, strengthening accountability for results, and providing leadership and direction for the global humanitarian organization. Prior to joining Save the Children US, Aleks served as Executive Vice President at IREX, a global development and education organization where he helped IREX navigate market and geopolitical trends. He holds various academic degrees including a JD from the Catholic University of America, a master’s from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree from Tirana University. Aleks serves as Board Chair for Development Gateway and is a Trustee for Equal Rights Independent Media and the Alliance for Peace Building.
