Andrew Hagan

Head of Chemistry and Advanced Materials, World Economic Forum

Andrew Hagan is Head of Chemistry and Advanced Materials at the World Economic Forum  He had joined the World Economic Forum as a Global Leadrship Fellow (with a management scholarship from the University of Cambridge) and has now graduated with the title. Andrew did his Masters in Chemistry at Oxford University and his PhD in polymer chemistry and materials at Cambridge University. He then worked for the UK Ministry of Defence and the DERA/Qinetiq on materials. He did his MBA in Paris and Politics, law and Economics at Strasbourg. He worked at Air Liquide before consulting in Lithuania/Russia and latterly for Shell eventually managing the regions of the Netherlands and the East of France for Shell for one of their products. He has volunteered at Industry Associations before moving to the World Economic Forum. He has been a member of Chatham House (Royal Institute of International Affairs) and a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry for over 10 years and a "Global Scot" advising on the Scottish Chemicals Initiative.
