Each part of your brain has its own rhythmic ‘fingerprint'
A new study has found that each region of the brain has a uniquely identifiable pattern of oscillations – their own rhythmic fingerprint.
Anne Keitel is Research Associate at the Institute of Neuroscience and Psychology, University of Glasgow. She did her PhD in psychology at the Max Planck Institute of Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig, Germany. Her current research interests include neural mechanisms underlying the processing of language and conversations, functional brain organisation, and the classification of regional oscillatory activity.
