Formerly: Head of Privacy, Google's social products; Yahoo!'s Chief Trust Officer, overseeing privacy, data policy, data governance, child safety, community standards and content policy, and other policy related areas. Holds the distinction of being the first fully dedicated privacy and data protection professional at any internet company, joining Yahoo! in June 1998. In this capacity, testified before Congress about online privacy and behavioural advertising and before the Article 29 Working Party in Europe on search data retention policies. Former Vice-President, People & Policy, Slack Technologies, managing privacy, security, policy and compliance, along with people operations and recruiting; joined Slack as the 50th employee and first woman executive hired at the world’s fastest-growing business enterprise software company. Currently, Head of Data Policy, World Economic Forum; Member of the Leadership Team, Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in San Francisco, California.
