Ms. Caroline Clarke is the Chief Executive Officer for Philips in ASEAN Pacific. She started her current role in August 2016 and is responsible for the overall strategy, business and management of Philips in 14 countries across the region.
Caroline joined Royal Philips in November 2008 as CEO Personal Care, after spending 20 years working with the Sara Lee Corporation. Caroline has extensive global experience in marketing, sales, finance and general management.
Caroline was responsible for the global Personal Care business for 5 years until January 2014, including Male Grooming, Beauty, Skin care and Vitalight categories. Caroline and her teams developed the strong innovation, communication and activation programs with countries around the world to build consistent market leadership positions.
In January 2014, Caroline created a new business proposition for Philips, Personal Health Solutions, which is at the core of Philips’ strategy to deliver health technology innovaton, with a focus on healthy living and disease prevention. Philips’ personal health programs empower individuals to measure vital signs to understand how lifestyle choices affect their body; set goals and monitor their progress; and stay motivated with intelligent programs, developed with leading doctors and psychologists, responding to individual progress and making personalized recommendations. The first program debuted at IFA in 2015.
In January 2016, Philips established a new business, Population Health Management, with Caroline as its leader. Bringing together activities in Personal Health Solutions, Hospital to Home, and Home Monitoring, this business is focusing on helping reshape and optimize population health management so people can live longer, healthier lives.
Caroline holds a bachelor's degree in Business Studies. She is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
