Mr Christopher NG is the Regional Secretary of the Asian and Pacific Regional Organisation of the world's newest trade union organisation, Union Network International (UNI). He is also a member of the Global Agenda Council on Human Rights. He joined the Secretariat of the Asian and Pacific Regional Organisation of FIET - located in Singapore in 1976 as the Assistant to the Regional Secretary. He was elected the Regional Secretary of Apro FIET in 1986 and was re-elected to this position at subsequent Regional Conferences held once every four years in 1990, 1994 and 1999. He became the first Regional Secretary of the Asian and Pacific Regional Organisation of the new International – UNI Apro in January 2000 and was elected as the Regional Secretary in June 2003.
