Dave Treat is a Senior Managing Director, leading Accenture’s Metaverse Continuum Business Group as well as the Technology Incubation Group which includes its Blockchain and Multiparty Systems business that he formed in 2015, along with its Extended Reality, and Quantum Computing businesses. He is also the Global Technology Lead for Capital Markets and has 25 years of Financial Services experience.
Dave is a member of the World Economic Forum C4IR Global Blockchain Council, Digital Currency Governance Consortia, and Project Advisor for the World Economic Forum’s Digital Identity Initiative and the Known Traveller Digital Identity project. He is the Board Chair for Hyperledger Foundation—a Linux Foundation project, Board Chair for the Global Blockchain Business Council, and serves on the Boards of Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, Interwork Alliance, Linux FINOS, and the ID2020 Alliance. He is a program advisor for the Chamber of Digital Commerce, and co-Chairs the New York Fintech Innovation Lab. Dave holds over 100 blockchain patents and pending patents and was named one of the Sci-Tech 100 2018: The Architects of the Future by Silicon Republic.
