Fatih Guvenen

Fatih Guvenen is professor of economics at the University of Minnesota, and an adviser to the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Previously, he has taught at the University of Rochester and University of Texas at Austin. He is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and an international fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies in London.

Guvenen’s research focuses on the causes and consequences of inequality, the interactions between inequality and the macroeconomy, individual income risk, tax policy, and the linkages between the financial and real sides of the macroeconomy. He received his Ph.D in 2001 from Carnegie-Mellon University.
