Francisco Ferreira

Deputy Chief Economist, World Bank Africa Region

Francisco H. G. Ferreira is the Senior Advisor and Deputy Chief Economist for the Africa Region at the World Bank and a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA, Bonn). He was formerly a lead economist in the Bank’s Research Department, and has also served as Deputy Chief Economist for Latin America and the Caribbean, and as co-Director of the World Development Report 2006.
