Johannes Himmelreich

Interdisciplinary Ethics Fellow, Stanford University McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society

Johannes is an interdisciplinary philosopher. He is interested in the limits and scaffolding of human agency and in the question of whether agency can be found outside the human domain. He thinks that corporations, states, or robots are agents that can be morally responsible. With a focus on policy, Johannes is interested in issues such as the right to asylum, the boundaries of privacy, and algorithmic fairness and justice.
