A former French diplomat, Karima Anbar has emerged as a remarkably strong symbol of unity in Europe, combining her Arab origins and French identity, she advocates inclusion of all nationalities, origins, and religions in France, and is eager to ensure that young people across Europe, no matter their background, feel a sense of belonging and feel empower to seize opportunities in life.

She is a women's self-empowerment activist across the Arab world as the CEO of Intisar Foundation a proactive local organisations who addresses complex social issues, such as war trauma and violence against women, by developing innovative grassroots initiatives – using dramatherapy - which is fully aligned with the needs and nuances of a culture and fit the context of the communities. She leads remarkably a charity that operates at the intersection of two still sensitive and socially stigmatized areas in the Arab world - mental health and women's empowerment in refugee camps and the most vulnerable areas in the Middle-East.
