Mathis Hampel is a research associate at the University of East Anglia. He studies the relation between (climate) knowledge, authority and power with particular focus on the role of place and space. In his PhD thesis he described how the US political culture and its institutions influence what comes to be seen as permissible scientific evidence fit for decision-making.
