Michèle Belot

Michèle Belot is Professor of Economics at the University of Edinburgh and director of Behavioural Laboratory at the University of Edinburgh. She received her PhD in Economics from Tilburg University and has held previous academic positions at the University of Essex and at the University of Oxford. Her research interests are at the crossroad between labour economics, economics of education and behavioural economics. Her recent work consists mainly of designing and testing interventions using randomized controlled trials, in the domains of health and job search. She is a member of the Council of the Royal Economic Society, of the Council of the European Society of Population Economics and of the Executive Committee of the Economic Science Association. She is also a member of the UK Cross-Governmental Trial Advice Panel.
