African American women writers throughout the 20th century touched on many topics which were controversial and sensitive at the time.
Dr. Nancy Kang specializes in transnational, multi-ethnic, and diaspora women’s literatures. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, her M.A. from Queen’s University, and her B.A. (Hon.) summa cum laude from the University of Calgary, where she received the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta’s Gold Medal for Academics and the Governor General of Canada’s Academic Medal.
