How 'sinking cities' can address subsidence challenges
Saving sinking global cities like New York, Jakarta and Venice must involve re-evaluating infrastructure and water use, and building resilience into urban design.
Susan Moisio is the Jacobs' Global Water Director and a Technology Fellow with more than 37 years of experience in water. Her focus is on OneWater where all water has value, our challenges are interconnected, and the solutions must be sustainable, inclusive, and equitable.
She is a Board Member for the US Water Alliance, 37-year member of Water Environment Federations, member of NACWA and the Singapore International Water Week Program Committee.
Susan is a civil engineer licensed in Ohio and New York. She leads a Water Team in Jacobs of over 9,000 water professionals in Wastewater, Drinking Water and Reuse, Conveyance and Storage, and Water Resources.
