Wang Yi

Former Vice-President of the Institutes of Science and Development , Chinese Academy of Sciences

Wang is a Professor of Energy and Environmental Policy at the University of Chinese Academy of Science (UCAS) and has a PhD in Ecology.

He has served as Vice President of the Institutes of Science and Development at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and as Deputy Director-General of the Institute of Policy and Management (IPM) at CAS.

His research has shaped many of China’s current policies on environmental protection and sustainable development. Wang’s areas of expertise include sustainable development policy, energy transition, integrated river basin management, and comprehensive planning for environmental development.
