With exactly six months until COP26, Climate Breakthroughs: The Road to COP26 and Beyond, aims to demonstrate the need for systemic change to accelerate the global transition to a zero-carbon economy. Hosted in collaboration with the Mission Possible Partnership, UK COP26 Presidency and the UN High-Level Champions for COP26, this series of live-streamed discussions will focus on steel, shipping, hydrogen and nature-based solutions and the Breakthroughs needed to achieve a net-zero world in time.

Putting sectors on net-zero pathways requires not only investing in new green technologies but also proactively phasing out carbon-intensive assets – and addressing the impacts of that transition on workers and communities. The Race to Zero Breakthroughs, announced at the World Economic Forum Davos Agenda, provide the comprehensive, detailed, and actionable roadmap for achieving net-zero emissions through wholesale system change across the nearly 30 sectors of the global economy.
