The use of health-tracking wearables has grown by more than 35% during the pandemic, generating data that could lead to a step change in our collective understanding of the causes, consequences and cures of diseases. How should societies balance privacy and the public good in the collection and analysis of health data?

The first 30 minutes of this session will be a livestreamed plenary, followed by a 30-minute private dialogue. Simultaneous interpretation in English and Japanese will be available during the plenary part of this session.
