Overview
The Mission Possible Partnership and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark are hosting a High-Level Virtual Seminar on Industry Decarbonization on Thursday 25 February 2021. This one-day meeting brings together leaders and experts to identify common barriers and solutions for accelerating the net-zero and energy industry transition. There will be a specific focus on Shipping, Aviation and Cement and Concrete sectors.
The seminar will also include members of 13 Climate Partnerships, Danish Industry and Business leaders committed to scaling up industry transition at a global level. The meeting will mobilize action-orientated coalitions working strategically to deliver high-climate ambition outcomes at COP26 in Glasgow.
Key objectives to the meeting:
- Identify common barriers and solutions for accelerating the net-zero transition across heavy-industry sectors
- Share learnings and experiences from Danish Climate Partnerships that can be used in an international context
- Explore what cross-cutting levers, including finance, energy, technology and policy solutions are needed to achieve industry transition
- Put key actions in place to deliver high climate ambition outcomes at COP26
