Press Conference: Financial giants moving trillions to attain net-zero carbon

There’s no question about it, the climate emergency must be tackled urgently. With the clout to change business behaviour by compelling the companies they invest in to hasten the transition to a low-carbon economy, the investment industry is just the sector to do this.

A group of the world’s largest investors has joined forces to radically reduce global carbon emissions by ensuring their portfolios are carbon-neutral by 2050. This marks a milestone in the development of the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance, as sixteen members welcome another influential and well-known investor to their group. Hear what some of the world’s financial heavyweights are planning next and the concrete actions they will be taking to ensure a low-carbon economy is attainable.

The press conference will be joined by Tom Joy, Chief Investment Officer of the Church Commissioners - the endowment fund of the Church of England.
