Why We Need Battery Passports

Batteries power the energy transition to a sustainable future but require critical minerals, the extraction of which comes with environmental and human rights risk, including child labour. How can a battery passport contribute to protecting human rights, safeguarding the environment and informing consumer decision-making? This session highlights and builds on the work of the Global Battery Alliance, an initiative incubated by the World Economic Forum.
