Scaling Climate Partnerships for Industry Transition > Intro
Tackling the climate crisis is the most important task of our time. Not least in the heavy-industry sector, which is responsible for nearly one-third of all GHG emissions. Reducing these emissions to net-zero emissions by 2050 requires powerful, action-oriented coalitions across industries and governments.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and the Mission Possible Partnership, a multi-stakeholder partnership on industry decarbonization co-led by the World Economic Forum, Energy Transitions Commission, Rocky Mountain Institute and the We Mean Business Coalition, organizes a one-day virtual event “Net Zero Transition in Heavy Industries,” on 25th February 2021.
This event will engage CEO-representatives of the 13 Danish Climate Partnerships as well as leaders from government, industry, international organizations and civil society to accelerate public-private cooperation for net-zero industry action.
