Global Risks and Geopolitical Agenda

The Forum’s work on Global Risks and Geopolitics builds understanding of the fast-changing political and security developments impacting stakeholders around the world.

Strong technological, economic, and demographic forces are shaping the global landscape in a way that is multipolar and “multiconceptual”—global power is becoming more diffused and differences over norms and values are having greater geopolitical consequences. The new landscape that is emerging necessitates updating our multilateral architecture in a manner that accounts for these critical developments.

The Forum is exploring risks associated with the new phase of global relations that is unfolding, as well as opportunities for coordination among global leaders. Through a partnership with the world’s leading think tanks, development of global and regional risks reports, and ongoing analysis and dialogue, the Forum is working to provide insight that can assist stakeholders in improving the state of the world.
