Connecting Climate, Nature and Energy

The risks posed by climate change to ecosystems and livelihoods are increasingly evident and consequential. There has been progress towards transitioning to cleaner forms of energy globally, with agreements between the United States and China showing a willingness by economies to focus on shared goals. Leaders will need to scale further policies and advanced technologies geared to make systemic and holistic progress towards a carbon-neutral and nature-positive future. Experts have indicated that additional investment and action are needed for countries to meet their climate goals. Emerging markets are both severely affected by the impacts of climate change and face a $2.2 trillion investment gap.

In this context, it's crucial for businesses, governments, and civil society to work together to find common solutions and take decisive action. Through its Centres, the World Economic Forum integrates public-private efforts to achieve greater impact.
