Advancing Regional and Global Cooperation

The COVID-19 pandemic, growing climate crisis and, most recently, the war in Ukraine, are the latest reminders of the interconnected shocks reshaping the geopolitical order, disrupting livelihoods and destabilizing societies. As these interconnected shocks are addressed, it must be ensured that solutions are cooperative and sustainable in nature. COP27 and COP28 will provide the backdrop for collaborative action on the global stage, while the growth of regional cooperation through initiatives, such as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), opens opportunities to build regional resilience, peace and security. How can leaders scale the most promising partnerships to revitalize markets, trade and advance global cooperation?

In this context, it's crucial for businesses, governments, and civil society to work together to find common solutions and take decisive action. Through its Centres, the World Economic Forum integrates public-private efforts to achieve greater impact.
