Mission Possible

ETC’s 2018 Mission Possible report outlines how this is technically possible and at a relatively small economic cost, however, building a zero-carbon economy will require public and private collaboration, spearheaded by coalitions of the ambitious. The international collaboration between countries and industry groups is critical to establish workable policy frameworks and incentives and to enable joint investment into low carbon infrastructure.

The Mission Possible Platform is a coalition initiative working on creating tipping points across the hard-to-abate sectors to set the industry on a net-zero pathway through public-private collaboration, innovation partnerships, and industry alliances.

In this context, it's crucial for businesses, governments, and civil society to work together to find common solutions and take decisive action. Through its Centres, the World Economic Forum integrates public-private efforts to achieve greater impact.
