‘Abolition’ isn’t a relic of our past. It’s the key to revitalising democracy
Abolition democracy, the working of rebuilding our systems with equity at their core, just might be able to lead to justice and democratic revitalisation.
The Center for Policing Equity is a research and action think tank producing analyses identifying and reducing the causes of racial disparities in law enforcement. Based on evidence-based approaches to social justice, it uses data to create levers for social, cultural and policy change, building fairer and more just systems. It is composed of research scientists, race and equity experts, data virtuosos and community trainers. It partners with law enforcement and communities. Its aim is to bridge the communication, generational mistrust and suffering divides. It is the path that science can forge to public safety, community trust and racial equity.
