Essity is a global hygiene and health company, with its headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. Its portfolio includes one-use products such as tissue paper, baby diapers, feminine care (menstruation pads, etc.), incontinence products, compression therapy, orthopaedics and wound care. Essity was a part of SCA, a hygiene and forest products company, until 2017 when the company spun off the hygiene operations to list it as a separate company on the Nasdaq Stockholm. Essity has approximately 36,000 employees and net sales in 2023 amounted to €13 billion. The name Essity stems from the words “essentials” and “necessity”.
