International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is a specialized United Nations agency and an International Financial Institution that tackles hunger and poverty in rural communities. Founded in response to a global food crisis, since 1977, IFAD-supported projects have reached hundreds of millions of people around the world. Over the years, it is grown in scope and scale, but the mission has remained the same: invest in rural people and empower them to improve their food security, income and resilience.
