Kyndryl is a company that emerged in September 2021 from the spin-off of a large part of the previous IBM (formerly Managed Infrastructure Services, GTS). It covers the operation of information technology infrastructure such as networks, mainframes, data storage, PCs and datacentres for around 4,600 customers in over 100 countries, with annual sales of around $19 billion. Kyndryl has 90,000 employees and serves 75 of the Fortune 100 companies. The company received a total portfolio of over 3,000 patents from IBM.
