Namati

Law is supposed to be a sacred thread that ties everyone together and protects each individual. But for billions of people worldwide the law is broken and not something that can be used to exercise basic rights. Namati is building a global movement of community legal workers, also known as barefoot lawyers or community paralegals, to give people the power to understand, use and shape the law. These paralegals form a dynamic, creative frontline that can squeeze justice even out of broken systems. Namati convenes the Global Legal Empowerment Network – over 1,700 groups from every part of the world.
