Incorporated in 1910 to manage 500 acres of rubber estates in Malacca, Malaysia, Sime Darby has grown into one of Malaysia's biggest multinational corporations. It a diversified multinational with businesses in plantations, industrial equipment, motors, property and energy & utilities, with operations in 26 countries and four territories. It has a market capitalization of RM46.81 billion ($10.61 billion) as of 30 September 2015. Sime Darby recognizes the importance of balancing economic performance with social responsibility.
