The merger between Swedish Telia and Finnish Sonera that took place in December 2002 has created the leading telecommunications company in the Nordic and Baltic regions. The group provides communications services within mobile communication, internet, data and fixed telephony to consumers and business customers. TeliaSonera continues to operate in Sweden under the Telia brand and in Finland under the Sonera brand. The TeliaSonera share is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, the Helsinki Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.
