Dr. Abimbola H. Alale is the MD/CEO of the Nigerian Communication Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT), Nigeria since 2014. She holds a PhD degree in Security & Strategic Studies from the Nasarawa State University, Keffi-Nigeria. She obtained a Master degree in Space Studies and an MBA degree from the International Space University, Strasbourg-France. Other Certificates were obtained at the Massachuttes Institute of Technology, Boston, USA and the Management School, London, UK. She is a Fellow of the African Scientific Institute and a Certified Forensic Investigation Professional. Her career in the space sector started about 19 years ago at the Nigerian National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA). She was the Assistant Project Manager/Secretary of the Team that championed NigComSat-1 and 1R missions, including the establishment of NIGCOMSAT Limited and its subsidiary companies. She is presently driving the full commercialization of NIGCOMSAT limited in line with the Nigerian government policy direction which encourages private sector partnership and growth of the sector’s ecosystem.
