Registered architect in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Formerly: Professor, Harvard Univ. and Rice Univ.; Professor and Chair, Department of Architecture, Univ. of Pennsylvania; founding Dean, School of Architecture, U.C. San Diego; Professor, College of Environmental Design, Univ. of California, Berkeley, focused on design of housing environments. Currently, Architect, Urban Designer and Dean MIT - School of Architecture and Planning; concurrently, Principal Architect, Santos Prescott and Associates, San Francisco, working in Guatemala on children's centre and has several projects under construction in China. Member: Pennsylvania Society of Architects; American Institute of Architects.
