Co-founder and executive director of Women in Business Development Inc in Samoa, Adi sits on the Global Agenda Council for New Growth Models for the World Economic Forum. She has received many honours including: The International Award at The Diller-von Furstenberg Awards (2015);Member of the Order of Samoa by theSamoan Government (2014); a Global Award for Economic Empowerment from Vital Voices(2012). She is also an Emerging Pacific Women Leaders Project mentor. In 2008, Adi negotiated a contract with The Body Shop to buy organically certified virgin coconut oil from Samoa. In 2005, she helped found the Pacific Organic and Ethical Trade Community.That year, she was also a CommonwealthObserver Group member for the Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in Uganda. Adi was also the chair of the Pacific Islands Association of Non-Governmental Organisations from 2005-2008. In 1995, Adi led the revival of Samoa’s fine mat weaving and transformed it into an income-generating activity.
