Amy Zegart is the Co-Director of Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC); the Davies Family Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution; a Senior Fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies; and Professor of Political Science (by courtesy). Her research examines U.S. grand strategy, cybersecurity, intelligence challenges, and coercion. She served on the Clinton Administration’s National Security Council staff, spent several years as a McKinsey & Company consultant, and is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in political science from Stanford University and an A.B. in East Asian Studies from Harvard.
