Since 2002, Director, Centre for Mesoscience & Nanotechnology, and since 2007, Langworthy Professor of Physics, Univ. of Manchester, UK; 2007-10, EPSRC Senior Research Fellow; since 2010, Royal Society 2010 Anniversary Research Professor. Author of 200 research papers. Recipient of awards and honours, incl.: Royal Society Hughes Medal (2010); 2010 Nobel Prize (co-recipient).
