PhD, Imperial College, London. 1998-2002, Assistant Professor, University of Paris VI. 2003, joined McGill University; currently, Canada Research Chair in Biodiversity Science, Professor, Department of Biology, Killam Fellow, and founding Director, Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science. Combines theory with experiments in the lab and field to study: 1) ecosystem networks; 2) linking biodiversity to ecosystem functioning; and 3) rapid experimental evolution. Interests include sketching and painting.
