Arzu Tektas

Professor, Bogazici University

Arzu Tektas is a professor at the department of International Trade, Bogazici University, Turkey. She is an industrial engineer with a PhD degree in business operations management and quantitative decision making. She held various academic and managerial positions at the University such as the director of the School of Applied Disciplines, vice director of the Innovation Research Center, member of the University Senate as well as the Executive Council. She worked as an independent expert and project evaluator for FP7 and H2020 projects at the EU Commission as well as at TUBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey).
Her major research interests include innovation ecosystem design and policy making; Innovation and competitiveness-SMEs; quantitative business decision making; Industry 4.0 with emphasis on agri-food sector; supply chain management. She has published in various academic journals and participated in various national and international projects such as the ones funded by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology, UNDP, UK Prosperity Fund, Leonardo da Vinci EU Fund, PRIMA.
She has taught courses like Trade Operations and Supply Chain Management; Quantitative Analysis and Applications; Operations Analysis and Planning; Games and Cases in Operations Management; Innovation Management; Analytic Thinking and Problem Solving; Project Management at undergraduate and graduate level.
