Key projects as Governor include: Eko Atlantic City project, 10-lane Lagos-Badagry Expressway, expansion of the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lekki Free Trade Zone, Bus Rapid Transit System, Lagos Light Rail Project. Former Member of several Federal and State ad-hoc committees/panels, including: Presidential Committee on the Review of Tariffs; Chairman, Governor's Forum Committees; State Tenders Board; State Executive Council; State Treasury Board; State Security Council. Recipient of honours and awards, including: Senior Advocate of Nigeria; Governor of the Decade for Peace Award, Yitzhak Rabin Centre for African Development (2009); Award of Excellence in Leadership, Martin Luther King Junior Foundation (2010). Good Governance Award, IC Publications (2009); Man of The Year, The Guardian, The Vanguard and The Sun newspapers (2009).
