Research focuses on mechanisms whereby growth factors activate their receptors and control cell growth, migration, apoptosis and differentiation, and how perturbations of signalling pathways promote tumour progression. Former: Member, Board, Swedish Research Council; Vice-President, European Research Council. Chair of the Board: Nobel Foundation; Science for Life Laboratory; European Molecular Biology Organization.
