Born in Switzerland, Christoph Keller is a novelist, memoirist and editor. His books include Ich hätte mein Land gern Flach (S. Fischer 1996, I'd Like My Country Flat), winner of the 1996 Bodensee-Preis, the bestselling 2003 memoir-novel Der beste Tänzer (The Best Dancer) and 2019's Der Boden unter den Füßen (The Ground Beneath Our Feet; winner of the Alemannic Literature Prize). In 2022 Penguin Press released his second memoir about his life with the progressive neuromuscular disability Spinal Muscual Atrophy type III Every Cripple a Superhero. Based for many years in New York City, he now lives in St Gallen.
