Chairman of International Capital Strategies, a Washington, DC-based consultancy providing bespoke advice on the political economy of global financial markets to asset managers and institutional investors. Previously, visiting fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Represented the US on the Executive Board of the IMF from 2010 to 2012. 16 year career in Europe as senior investment banker and private equity investor for some of the world's leading financial institutions. Testified before the US Congress on the role of the IMF, foreign policy implications of the economic crisis, geoeconomics and state capitalism. Named "Emerging Markets Superstar" by Global Finance Magazine. Began his career as an attorney at Skadden Arps in Washington, D.C. and New York. Previously, Senior fellow at the New America Foundation. Member of the US Council on Foreign Relations.
