Currently Director, Global Health Initiatives and Health Management Program, Yale School of Public Health, and Professor of Public Health, Yale University; focuses on quality improvement, outcomes research and hospital management; most recent work on health systems development and management capacity building in China with World Health Organization and in Ethiopia and Liberia with Clinton Foundation. Fellow, Gerontological Society of America. Member, Academy Health. Research interests: understanding organizational context of healthcare delivery, identifying levers to improve hospital and health system performance, identifying systems' improvements and organizational culture that influence pace and sustainability of innovation.
