Baroness Sugg represents the Department for International Development and the Department for International Trade in the House of Lords.
She joined the Government in June 2017 and has been a member of the House of Lords since 2016.
Before joining the House of Lords, Lady Sugg worked in Downing Street as Political Adviser to Prime Minister David Cameron.
She worked on international initiatives such as the UN High Level Panel that produced the Sustainable Development Goals; the Supporting Syria and the Region conference that raised a record $12billion in pledges from the international community; and the Anti-Corruption Summit that produced the first ever global declaration against corruption.
She directed the major international summits hosted by the UK in the last six years, including the G7 Summit in Lough Erne, 2013 and the NATO Summit in Wales, 2014.
